Behind his aggressive dual-tier grille, the Malibu a choice of three engines: two Turbo-charged four-cylinder engines (1.5 L and 2.0 L) with 160 and 250 HP, and a hybrid powertrain with 182 HP. The smaller turbo-four can feel cruising, flat-footed from a stop, but as soon as movement along it effortlessly processed together, climbing grades, and higher speed.
As you might expect, is the larger of the Turbo-engine is significantly faster. The Malibu Hybrid is the force of the statement, although, with a refined nature and surprisingly quick acceleration, along with its high fuel economy figures. EPA estimates range from 26 mpg combined (22 city/33 highway) for the 2.0 turbo, 46 mpg combined (49 city/highway 43) for the Malibu Hybrid.
Essentially, there are five trim levels in the year 2017 Chevrolet Malibu family. The four non-hybrid versions of the range from the base L to the loaded Prime.
